B Group Architecture is pleased to announce the upcoming renovation and expansion of Bevill Auditorium at Snead State Community College. With an estimated construction cost of approximately $22 million, the project reflects Snead State’s continued commitment to performance, community engagement, and the student experience.

Long recognized as a cultural centerpiece for the campus and region, the renovated auditorium will balance modern functionality, enhanced technical performance, and innovative design while honoring its legacy. Planned improvements include a new glass box entrance lobby with elevator access, a grand stair with tiered seating, and a new black box theater. Upgrades to the existing auditorium will enhance acoustics, sightlines, seating, and accessibility, creating an inclusive and elevated experience for performers and audiences alike.

Murray Construction of Birmingham, Alabama, will serve as the general contractor. Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2026 and is expected to take approximately 16 months.
